The AXCO Heat Recovery System (HRV) system is designed to recover up to 86 % of the heat normally lost through windows, trickle vents and other break-out points i.e. extractor fans in a building structure.

The air being extracted transfers its latent heat via a rotary thermal heat exchanger to the fresh air coming in, i.e. fresh, filtered air enters the home which is warmed to a level of 86% of the extract air.

The Passivhaus-Passive House sustainable design standards are for specific energy conservation methods and international program for Sustainable architecture design techniques and specifications to create Low-energy houses and other structures with Low energy building practices for the public benefit worldwide.

Demand-controlled comfort
Dantherm HC range of home ventilation units has built-in RH sensors which automatically adjust air volumes in relation to the relative humidity (RH) in the home. This means that there is no need to wire the unit up to external sensors. 

Dantherm counterflow heat exchanger
Dantherm has developed a new heat exchanger in order to fulfill the very ambitious targets of the new home ventilation range. This is a light-weight aluminium counterflow exchanger with an efficiency level of up to 95%.

Control panel
Dantherm HC range of home ventilations units is fitted with an integrated control panel where the user can adjust individual default settings, such as manual or automatic control of ventilation speed, and manual bypass/cooling.

Remote control
With an optional wireless remote control the user gets access to further control options, such as automatic demand control, manual operation, week program operation, away operation, night operation and fireplace operation.

Certificates
The Dantherm HC home ventilation units are certified for usage in passive houses by PassivHaus Institut in Darmstadt, Germany. Furthermore they are DIBt LÜ-A20 certified by Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik in Berlin, Germany and tested in accordance with EN 308 by IGE in Stuttgart. Hereby it is proven that the units fulfil the most severe requirements with regards to energy efficiency, air tightness, filter class, sound level, insulation class, frost protection, safety and a lot more.
